Behaviour & Inclusion Support

North Kirklees
July & September starts | ⏰ Full-time | Competitive daily pay based on experience

Not every superhero wears a cape.
Some wear lanyards, carry a calm voice, and know exactly how to steady a tough moment.

Right now, a specialist setting in North Kirklees is looking for Behaviour & Inclusion Support staff to join their team.

This school supports young people in KS3 and KS4 who’ve had a difficult journey with education. Some have faced exclusion. Some have struggled with attendance, behaviour, or emotional wellbeing. All of them need one thing.

Someone who shows up.
Someone consistent.
Someone who doesn’t give up on them.

Could that be you?

What this role looks like

No two days are the same, and that’s exactly why the right person thrives here.

You’ll be:
✔ Supporting students in class, 1:1 and in small groups
✔ Helping young people re-engage with learning and routine
✔ Building trust with students who may struggle to regulate emotions
✔ Creating a safe, structured environment where students can reset and succeed

This role goes far beyond behaviour support.

It’s about connection.
Understanding triggers.
Building trust.
Helping young people believe in themselves again.

You’ll be a great fit if you…

  • Stay calm under pressure and bring steady energy
  • Understand that behaviour tells a story
  • Can build strong, respectful relationships
  • Lead with empathy, consistency, and clear boundaries
  • Genuinely want to make a lasting difference

You don’t need to be loud to make an impact here.
Sometimes the most powerful support comes from the calmest person in the room.

What you’ll need

✅ Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
✅ Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
✅ Two recent references
✅ Strong understanding of safeguarding
✅ A resilient, patient, and compassionate approach
