Protocol Education is currently recruiting confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Kirklees. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced youth workers, or education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, maintaining positive behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons across a variety of secondary subjects using work set by teaching staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning and engagement throughout lessons.
• Report any issues or concerns to relevant school staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, support work, or youth work setting.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Confidence to lead a classroom independently.
• A flexible and professional approach.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is ESSENTIAL for this role. Applicants without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service cannot be considered.
