A forward-thinking secondary school in Huddersfield, HD8 is looking for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach predominantly French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students discover the value of languages both inside and beyond the classroom.
What you'll be doing
- Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching French and Spanish to students of varying abilities
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to participate
- Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
- Preparing students for GCSE examinations
- Contributing to the wider life of the MFL department and school community
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching French and/or Spanish at secondary level
- Is passionate about language learning and cultural awareness
- Can inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for every learner
You'll stand out if you have:
- Experience teaching both French and Spanish to GCSE level
- Strong GCSE results and a track record of raising attainment
- Experience supporting intervention or enrichment activities
- Knowledge of current MFL curriculum developments and assessment requirements
