Looking for a kitchen role that gives you your evenings, weekends, and school holidays back?
We're working with a welcoming through-school in Islington with approximately 200 pupils, looking for an experienced School Kitchen Chef to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals in a friendly school environment and takes pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing and serving simple, nutritious meals for pupils and staff
- Food preparation and stock management
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Washing up and ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly
- Following food safety regulations and school procedures
- Working independently to ensure meals are prepared and served on time
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef or Cook within a school setting
- Holds a valid Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
- Has a good understanding of food safety and allergen awareness
- Is organised, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Enjoys working as part of a school community
- Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
