Psychology Graduate SEND Support Assistant – Jesmond (Full-Time)

Looking to build experience before a career in Educational Psychology, Teaching, Speech & Language Therapy or CAMHS?

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Jesmond is looking for a Psychology Graduate SEND Support Assistant to join their team this academic year. You'll work closely with pupils who may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and communication difficulties, helping them feel supported, engaged and ready to learn.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience working alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff while developing skills that will stand out on future applications and interviews.

Location: Jesmond
Pay: £92.63 - £102 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

What you'll be doing

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
Delivering targeted interventions
Building positive relationships with pupils
Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals
