Protocol Education is working with schools across Keynsham and the surrounding areas to recruit enthusiastic, imaginative and compassionate graduates for Learning Support Assistant and Classroom Support roles starting in January 2027.

This isn't about teaching your degree subject. It's about using the creative, interpersonal and problem-solving skills you've developed throughout your studies to help children succeed in the classroom.

Schools are increasingly looking for graduates who can think differently, build positive relationships and engage children in creative and meaningful ways, especially those who may need additional support with confidence, communication or learning.

Why Creative Graduates Thrive in Schools

Your degree has given you a unique skillset that schools genuinely value:

Creativity and innovative thinking
Strong communication and presentation skills
Relationship-building and teamwork
Problem-solving and adaptability
❤️ Empathy, emotional intelligence and resilience
Confidence motivating and engaging others
The ability to explain ideas in different ways
Initiative and a positive, proactive attitude

These qualities are particularly valuable when supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, low confidence or barriers to learning.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
✅ Helping children access learning and stay engaged in lessons
✅ Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviours
✅ Supporting children with additional learning or emotional needs
