Protocol Education is currently recruiting Support Worker Assistants to work in an Outstanding College located in the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, with immediate starts available.
This specialist college supports post-16 students with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Sensory needs
- Physical disabilities
- Complex learning needs
As a Support Worker Assistant, you will work within small classes of 6-8 students, providing both one-to-one and group support. You will help create positive learning experiences, develop independence, and support students in preparing for adulthood and employment.
The Role
- Full-time position, Monday to Thursday
- Supporting students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting students both on-site and within the local community
- Promoting independence and developing essential life skills
- Supporting students' transition into further education, employment, and independent living
- Delivering support in line with individual care plans
- Assisting with sensory integration and sensory development activities
- Encouraging cognitive, social, and emotional development through visual and tactile resources
- Working collaboratively within a team supporting classes of 5 or more students
- Supporting students during recreational and employability activities, including:
- Cycling
- Farm visits
- Swimming
- Bowling
- Community-based learning opportunities
