About the Role

You will support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them develop communication, independence, emotional wellbeing and key life skills.

No two days are the same. You may be:

• Supporting children through creative and play-based learning activities
• Encouraging communication and social interaction
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence
• Delivering personalised interventions and learning opportunities
• Supporting sensory, emotional and behavioural needs
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals
• Creating a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can flourish

Essential Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have professional experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Are patient, nurturing and resilient
• Can think creatively and adapt to individual needs
• Are confident building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Have excellent communication skills
• Can provide two years of professional references
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
