Location: LS26 Hours: 7:30am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Breakfast Club, Pre-school and Reception

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in a primary school in LS26.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children's development and creating a warm, engaging environment during the start of their school day. The successful candidate will play a key role in running the Breakfast Club before supporting children within the Early Years provision throughout the morning.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and engaging children attending Breakfast Club from 7:30am.
Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
Assisting with planned activities and free-flow play opportunities.
Encouraging positive behaviour and social development.
Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Supporting children's personal care needs where required.
Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed.

Requirements:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (essential).
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
