About the Role
This Graduate Civil Engineer position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to begin their career within a supportive consultancy environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from concept through to delivery.
The role provides a broad introduction to design, project coordination, technical reporting, and site-based activities. You will have the opportunity to develop practical engineering skills while working closely with senior professionals who will support your progression and professional development.

The key responsibilities for this Graduate Civil Engineer role are:
- Assist with the preparation of engineering designs and calculations
- Support the production of technical reports and project documentation
- Prepare engineering drawings and specifications under supervision
- Contribute to tender submissions and fee proposals
- Attend site visits, inspections, and surveys as required
- Support project delivery activities across multiple schemes
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and project teams
- Apply relevant engineering standards and industry best practice
- Assist with project planning and programme activities
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Experience required for this Graduate Civil Engineer role are:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited course
- Minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Positive attitude towards learning and professional development
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Graduate Civil Engineer role are:
- Previous internship, placement year, or industry project experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Familiarity with Civil 3D or MicroStation
- Full UK driving licence or willingness to obtain one
