The role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You'll work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted interventions, and occasionally lead whole-class learning when required.
You'll be:

Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups

Leading small group and one-to-one interventions to help pupils reach their full potential

Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities

Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including those with SEND
-
Building positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning

Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting pupils' personal development
What we're looking for
-
HLTA status or significant experience working at HLTA level
-
Experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary school
-
Confidence leading whole-class learning when required
-
Strong behaviour management and excellent classroom presence
-
A flexible, proactive, and positive approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their best
Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
