This LS13 primary school is looking for a confident, proactive Learning Support Assistant to support their Year 6 class full-time.

You’ll be right in the thick of it, helping pupils stay focused, boosting confidence before tests, and making sure no one feels left behind. It’s fast-paced, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.

Your role:

  • Supporting learning across the Year 6 classroom

  • Delivering small group interventions

  • Helping pupils prepare for SATs

  • Supporting behaviour positively and consistently

  • Working closely with the class teacher

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in KS2, ideally Year 6

  • Can build quick, positive relationships

  • Brings energy, patience, and resilience

  • Understands how to balance challenge with encouragement

The school has strong leadership and a supportive team. They know Year 6 can be intense, and they make sure staff feel backed every step of the way.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
