Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN Hub

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in LS2 that has a dedicated SEN hub supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. They’re on the lookout for caring, calm, and proactive Teaching Assistants who know how powerful the right support can be.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work closely with pupils who need a little extra help to thrive in the classroom.
What the role looks like
You’ll be working within the school’s SEN hub, supporting pupils with a variety of needs including autism, communication difficulties, and learning needs.
Your day might include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis

Helping children access learning through adapted activities and sensory support

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
-
Encouraging positive routines, confidence, and independence
-
Creating a calm and safe learning environment

Have experience supporting children or adults with SEND

Are patient, compassionate, and adaptable

Feel confident supporting pupils with additional needs

Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
Experience in schools, care, youth work, or support settings is all welcome.
