UV Technician

Salary: £38,000 to £40,000
Location: Field-based, UK-wide
Hours: 45 hours per week
Travel: Regular UK travel with overnight stays

We are looking for a UV Technician to join a specialist water treatment business, working across water and wastewater treatment sites throughout the UK.

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and servicing of specialist UV disinfection systems. You will work alongside experienced Field Service Engineers, carrying out preventative maintenance, replacing UV lamps and components, supporting breakdowns and system upgrades, and assisting with mechanical maintenance.

The role would suit someone with a practical engineering, mechanical fitting, maintenance or industrial background who enjoys working on-site and wants to develop specialist experience within the water and wastewater industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain UV water treatment systems

  • Replace UV lamps, quartz sleeves and associated components

  • Support preventative maintenance and breakdown works

  • Assist with mechanical servicing and equipment installation

  • Work alongside Field Service Engineers on planned maintenance and upgrades

  • Liaise with customers and site teams

  • Complete service reports and relevant documentation

  • Follow health, safety and compliance procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in an engineering, mechanical, industrial, utilities or construction environment

  • Practical mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools

  • Experience supporting site-based maintenance or engineering work

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home

NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, EUSR, CSCS/ECS or Confined Space training would be advantageous but are not essential.
