Senior Planner (Primavera P6) | Data Centre Programmes | Austria
Location: Austria
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to €95,000, depending on experience
Rotation: 3 weeks on, 1 week off
Start: Immediate
About the role
Our client is an established European specialist electrical contractor delivering power and communications infrastructure for mission-critical projects, including data centres, pharmaceutical facilities and energy infrastructure. They are expanding their European project portfolio and need a Senior Planner to join a live programme in Austria.
You will take ownership of the programme from day one. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, working directly with senior project and client stakeholders on high-profile technology and hyperscale work.
What you will do
- Own and manage project programmes in Primavera P6, from baseline through to recovery and handover
- Track and report progress using earned value management (EVM), and analyse programme performance and project data
- Prepare and defend time impact analyses (TIA) and delay analyses
- Support variation and change management, including extension of time and commercial entitlement
- Manage resources and programme requirements across the delivery team
- Build Power BI dashboards and reports that give the project team and clients clear visibility of progress
- Present programme updates to clients, main contractors and senior stakeholders with confidence
- Work with project managers, site teams and the wider European planning function to keep programmes aligned and delivery on track
About you
You are an experienced planner who can step into an established programme and run it without needing close support.
Essential
- Strong, hands-on Primavera P6 experience
- Proven ability to manage project programmes independently
- Solid understanding of EVM and its use in progress reporting
- Experience analysing programme performance and project data
- Experience with time impact analysis
- Working knowledge of variation and change management
- Ability to manage resources and programme requirements
- Confident communicator with clients and senior stakeholders
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Comfortable operating independently from the outset
- Willingness to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off rotation and travel across Europe
Desirable
- Experience in data centres or other mission-critical sectors such as pharma, semiconductor, cleanroom or power infrastructure
- Background in electrical, MEP or specialist subcontracting
- Power BI experience
Planners from similar environments who have delivered fast-track, commissioning-led projects are welcome to apply, even without direct data centre experience.
Why join
- Permanent position with an established European mission-critical business
- Exposure to major hyperscale and technology clients
- An international project environment, with work across Austria, Finland and wider Europe
- A high level of responsibility and direct access to senior project and client stakeholders
- A supportive company culture
- The chance to develop within the company's European planning function
- Strong exposure to P6, EVM, Power BI and commercial programme management
- Room to grow as the European project portfolio expands
