We're working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school looking for an enthusiastic Visual Arts Teacher to join their creative department. The role includes:

  • Teaching Visual Arts across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available for suitable candidates.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity, curiosity and artistic confidence.
  • Encouraging students to experiment with a variety of media, techniques and creative processes.
  • Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback that supports artistic development.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels confident to express themselves.
  • Supporting exhibitions, enrichment activities and extracurricular art clubs where appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop an exciting and inspiring curriculum.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Art and Design or Visual Arts within a UK secondary school.
  • Has excellent subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines and techniques.
  • Creates engaging, inclusive lessons that motivate and challenge students.
  • Builds positive relationships and has strong classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to helping every student develop both creatively and academically.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
