SEND Teaching Assistant – Longbenton (Full-Time)
Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Longbenton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties. What you'll be doing
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping learners access lessons through tailored support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Supporting communication, confidence and independence
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and SEND professionals
- Adapting classroom resources where needed
- Celebrating every success, big or small
What we're looking for

Experience in education, care, coaching or youth work is welcomed but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
