Rate: £300-£350 per day (depending on experience)
Duration: Long-term contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity
Our client is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project, with the opportunity to progress into a larger project as the business continues to grow.
The initial assignment will be based on a large diameter PE water main project located in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced Project Manager, gaining exposure to all aspects of project delivery before progressing into a more senior role on future schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within the water and civil engineering sector. The client is keen to invest in the right individual and is open to candidates who have the right attitude and potential, rather than extensive project management experience.
Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the project.

Assist with planning, programming and coordinating site activities.

Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and the client to ensure smooth project delivery.

Monitor project progress, programme and key milestones.

Assist with commercial and contractual administration where required.

Help manage health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Attend project meetings and contribute to reporting.

Support project documentation, planning and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements

Background in civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure.

Previous experience in a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Assistant Project Manager or similar role would be advantageous.

Good organisational and communication skills.

A willingness to learn and develop into a Project Manager.

Full UK driving licence.
