Civils Project Manager - Green Energy / EV Infrastructure

Location: North West / Greater Manchester (Site Based)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance
️ Holiday: 26 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civils Project Manager to join a growing Green Energy division delivering EV Charging Hub and sustainable infrastructure projects across the UK.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of civils packages associated with EV charging installations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This role would suit a Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, highways, groundworks, drainage or infrastructure projects who is looking to be part of the rapidly expanding green energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage EV Charging Hub and Green Energy infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.

  • Take full responsibility for health & safety, quality, programme delivery and commercial performance.

  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives.

  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.

  • Lead site planning activities, resource allocation and programme management.

  • Manage project documentation including RAMS, quality records, progress reports and handover information.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions where required.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.

  • Assist commercial teams with variations, valuations and change management.

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of O&M manuals, as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

  • Drive environmental best practice and sustainability initiatives across all projects.

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a Project Management or Senior Site Management role.

  • Strong civils background including experience in:

    • Groundworks

    • Excavations

    • Drainage

    • Highways

    • Concrete works

    • Infrastructure projects

  • Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and client relationships.

  • Strong understanding of project programming, planning and resource management.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • HNC, HND or Degree in a Construction-related discipline.

Qualifications

  • SMSTS (5 Day)

  • CSCS Gold Card (Minimum)

  • First Aid at Work (3 Day)

  • Temporary Works Supervisor

  • NRSWA Supervisor and/or Lantra 12D

  • SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme)

Desirable

  • Experience delivering EV Infrastructure or Green Energy projects.

  • Knowledge of NEC Contracts.

  • Understanding of Electrical Work Packages.
