UX/Product Designer

Location: Manchester-based role

ABOUT US

Avensure is a UK-wide provider of Employment Law, Human Resources and Health & Safety outsourced services. Our in-house software team develops and improves systems used by our internal teams and 4,000+ SME clients.

We are looking for a talented UX/Product Designer to help improve our products, design better user experiences and support the development of new and existing business systems.

THE ROLE

You will work closely with developers, stakeholders and internal users to understand requirements, improve workflows and design clean, practical and user-friendly interfaces.

The role will involve working on complex web applications, including CRM-style systems, HR tools, holiday management, rota systems and other business-critical platforms.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of UX and product design, manage design work on projects involving complex interfaces and help turn complicated requirements into simple, effective user experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

If UX, product design and creating great interfaces are your passion, we want to speak with you. The skills below would be great to have, but not all of them are mandatory for the role.

Must be based in Manchester
Strong experience in UX, UI or product design
Excellent Figma (or similar) skills
Experience managing design work on projects involving complex interfaces
Experience designing complex web applications or business systems
Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, user flows and high-quality interface designs
Strong understanding of usability, accessibility and user-centred design
Experience improving existing products, not just creating new designs from scratch
Ability to work closely with developers and understand technical limitations
Good eye for detail and ability to create clean, modern and practical interfaces
Experience with CRM, HR systems, holiday management, rota systems or similar platforms would be beneficial

A technical background or good understanding of web development would be a strong advantage

Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Comfortable working in a small team where your ideas and input will have a real impact
