

Site Project Manager
Site Project Manager - EHV Civils (Tier 2 Contractor)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Package
Location: UK-wide (travel & working away required)
A leading Tier 2 Civils Contractor operating within the EHV / utilities sector is looking to appoint an experienced Site Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of large-scale infrastructure and substation projects across the UK, with full ownership from project inception through to completion.
The Role
As a Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality, while ensuring full compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from planning through to completion
- Ensure delivery meets programme, budget, quality, and HSE standards
- Lead project planning and programming (MS Project essential)
- Coordinate and manage labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Produce and manage RAMS, method statements, and site documentation
- Maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder communication
- Oversee financial performance, including:
o Cost tracking and reporting
o Payment applications and valuations
o Variations, claims, and dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with Temporary Works and HSE procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' site experience, with prior Project Management responsibility
- Experience in civils or utilities, ideally including:
o Substation civils / HV cable installation
o Groundworks, drainage, road construction, or reinforced concrete
- Strong understanding of:
o NEC contracts (e.g., NEC3)
o Temporary Works procedures
o New Roads & Streetworks
- Proven ability in cost control, reporting, and commercial awareness
- Proficient in MS Project and general IT systems
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and work away across mainland UK
Qualifications & Certifications (Desirable)
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- SMSTS
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
- NRSWA Supervisor
- NG BESC/Person
- HSG47
- First Aid
- Appointed Person
