A reputable subcontractor based in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ensuring costs are effectively managed while contributing to the successful delivery of construction schemes.

Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the financial management of projects from initial costing through to final accounts. Working closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders, the role will ensure budgets are maintained, risks are controlled, and value is maximised throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing accurate cost plans, estimates, and budgets.

Monitoring and reporting on project expenditure.

Producing and reviewing tenders, contracts, and procurement documents.

Carrying out regular site visits to monitor progress and contractual compliance.

Maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records.

Assisting with dispute resolution and handling claims when required.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction sector.

Strong knowledge of cost control and contract administration.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Degree or relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying (professional memberships advantageous).
