Male PE Teacher – Middlesbrough

Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner)

We’re looking for a Male PE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to both lessons and extracurricular activities.

You'll be helping students develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and healthy habits that last far beyond the school gates.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teaching a broad range of sports and physical activities
  • Creating an inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged to participate
  • Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Supporting extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school sporting events
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff

We're looking for someone who

  • Holds UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school
  • Can deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Has strong behaviour management skills
  • Is passionate about promoting physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive school community
