This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference during a key stage of pupils' education, supporting them both in the classroom and as they prepare for their SATs.

The Role

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality classroom support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the Year 6 curriculum
• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions in English and Maths
• Assisting with SATs preparation and revision sessions
• Supporting pupils who require additional academic encouragement
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment
• Preparing classroom resources and supporting daily classroom routines

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
• Has experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
• Experience supporting children with Year 6 SATs preparation is highly desirable
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is patient, proactive and committed to helping children succeed
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through Protocol Education
