Care Support Worker – Morpeth (Full-Time)

A specialist SEND provision in Morpeth is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to support pupils with Autism, complex learning needs, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.

Many of the pupils require support that goes beyond the classroom. They need positive role models who can build trust, encourage independence and help them feel safe and valued throughout the school day. If you have experience in care, support work or residential settings, your transferable skills could be exactly what this school is looking for.

Location: Morpeth
Pay: £92.63 - £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

About the Role

You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to provide personalised care and educational support. Every day is different, but your role will be centred around helping pupils develop confidence, independence and the skills needed to succeed.

What you'll be doing

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting with personal care where required
Supporting communication and interaction
Encouraging independence and life skills
Helping pupils engage with learning activities
Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Building positive and trusting relationships
Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff
