Protocol Education is looking for a compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth.

You'll support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them engage with their environment, develop communication and achieve greater independence.

What You'll Do

• Support pupils with personalised learning
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Encourage communication
• Support sensory activities
• Assist with physical and mobility needs
• Support personal care where required
• Promote independence
• Build positive relationships
• Follow individual support and care plans
• Work alongside teachers and specialist professionals

Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

PMLD | SEND | Learning Disabilities | Healthcare | Social Care | Support Work | Residential Care | Education

Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs would be particularly useful.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
