Are you a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the New Malden area. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning needs.
The Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Help implement individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Is patient, compassionate, and adaptable.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can build positive and supportive relationships with pupils.
- Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
