Protocol Education is working with SEND schools across Newcastle upon Tyne seeking caring and compassionate individuals who want to transfer their skills into the classroom.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract: Full-Time

About the Role

Many pupils within specialist provisions require support with communication, emotional regulation, personal development and everyday routines.

Your experience within care can be invaluable in helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils throughout the school day
  • Delivering 1:1 support where required
  • Supporting social and emotional development
  • Assisting pupils with daily routines
  • Promoting independence and confidence
  • Working alongside teachers and therapists

We're Looking For

  • Background in care, support work or healthcare
  • Positive and nurturing personality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships
  • Passion for supporting children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
