Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Newcastle

Protocol Education is looking for a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEND school in Newcastle.

You'll support young people with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop communication skills and become more confident and independent.

This role would suit someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about helping young people reach their potential.

The role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Help pupils access the secondary curriculum
• Support communication, interaction and social development
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Follow individual EHCPs and support plans
• Support practical and classroom-based activities
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
• Help pupils develop skills for life beyond school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
