A welcoming primary school in Denton Burn is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work closely with a Year 1 pupil who presents with challenging behaviour. This role is ideal for graduates interested in child development, SEND and inclusive education.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing consistent 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil.
• Supporting the pupil to engage in learning activities.
• Using positive behaviour strategies throughout the school day.
• Building a trusting and supportive relationship.
• Promoting emotional regulation and positive social interactions.
• Working closely with teachers and support staff.

Who We're Looking For

• Graduates in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or similar subjects.
• Patient, resilient and empathetic individuals.
• Strong communicators who can build positive relationships.
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs.
