Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Newcastle upon Tyne (Full-Time)

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Teaching, CAMHS or Mental Health?

A specialist SEND and SEMH provision in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and communication difficulties.

This role provides invaluable experience working directly with children who require additional support to access learning and regulate their emotions. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff while developing skills that will strengthen future applications and career opportunities.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £92.63 - £105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation
• Supporting targeted interventions
• Encouraging communication and engagement
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals
