We're looking for confident, reliable people to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Newham.

You don't need previous school experience. What matters most is your confidence, communication skills, and ability to manage a classroom of teenagers. We've successfully placed people from a range of backgrounds into these roles, including sports coaches, security staff, youth workers, retail managers, customer service professionals, and graduates looking to gain valuable experience.

What you'll be doing:

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using work left by the teacher

• Keeping students focused, engaged, and on task

• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

• Supporting students throughout the school day

• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

We're looking for someone who:

• Feels confident leading a classroom of secondary-aged students

• Has excellent communication and people skills

• Can think on their feet and adapt to different situations

• Has a genuine interest in education and helping young people succeed

• Is reliable, professional, and approachable

• Wants to make a positive difference in children's lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
