Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to work across primary schools in Newham.

We are looking for TAs who are confident supporting children with a range of additional needs and who can provide both academic and emotional support within the classroom.

The role:

• Supporting pupils with SEN across a range of needs and abilities, including working 1:1 and within small groups.
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and encouraging them to develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent support.
• Supporting pupils with their behaviour and emotional regulation where required.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.

We are looking for:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
• Someone who is confident supporting children with different needs and abilities.
• A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but relevant SEN experience will also be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
