We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in North Somerset that’s looking for a History Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status is a requirement) who can bring the past to life and make lessons engaging, thought-provoking, and memorable for students.

This is a full-time opportunity with the chance to go permanent after 20 weeks, making it a great fit for someone looking for a supportive school where they can settle in and grow.

The role

You’ll be teaching History across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that encourage curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking, helping students connect with the stories and events that shaped the world around them.

The Humanities department is collaborative and supportive, with shared planning, strong leadership, and a real focus on staff development. You’ll also take on Form Tutor responsibilities and become part of the wider school community.
