Technical Architect (241lw) Security Cleared – 6-monthly (renewable) UK Remote –£market contract rate

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect for a long-term Contract opportunity supporting complex defence R&D, systems integration and digital transformation programmes.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

You'll provide technical architecture expertise across a challenging Defence environment, helping design and assure secure, resilient and interoperable technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include
Developing technical architecture documentation, standards and design patterns.
Producing high- and low-level technical designs.
Designing secure and resilient solutions across complex environments.
Defining infrastructure, application, integration and platform architectures.
Supporting interoperability between Defence, allied and industry systems.
Working across legacy and modern technology environments.
Contributing to architecture governance and design authority activities.
Reviewing supplier and partner technical designs.
Supporting technical assurance, risk assessment and accreditation activities.
Engaging with architects, engineers, delivery teams, security authorities and senior stakeholders.
Assessing emerging technologies and supporting R&D, experimentation and prototyping.
Helping transition innovative technology concepts into operational capability.

Experience with tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Visio, Jira, Confluence and Git would also be beneficial.

Experience of working with emerging technologies such as AI, autonomous systems, advanced cyber security, tactical/edge computing and data-centric technologies would also be advantageous.

You'll need significant experience in technical architecture within Defence, Government or another highly regulated environment, together with the ability to operate across complex technical and stakeholder landscapes.

Active UK SC clearance is mandatory for this opportunity.
DV eligibility would be advantageous.
