Senior Quantity Surveyor / Change Management Quantity Surveyor

5 days, Site-Based Role (Oxfordshire)

INSIDE IR35 | 6-12 Month Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a major infrastructure scheme as part of the commercial team for a T1 company.

With the project expected to run for a further 2.5-3 years, our client is looking to strengthen its commercial function with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Change Management Quantity Surveyor.

This is a key position on a high-profile project that is currently experiencing significant client-driven design changes, creating a strong pipeline of commercial and contractual opportunities.

The Role

Working closely with the Commercial Team, you will play a vital role in managing change across the project, ensuring entitlement is identified, captured and commercially maximised under the NEC contract framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and administering compensation events and project changes

  • Assessing contractual entitlement under NEC contracts

  • Supporting commercial negotiations with the client

  • Developing and maintaining robust change management processes

  • Valuing variations and additional works

  • Monitoring forecasts, costs and commercial risk

  • Supporting project reporting and stakeholder engagement

  • Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial opportunities are captured

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors who have:

  • Strong NEC contract experience

  • Proven background in change management and compensation events

  • Experience working on highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects

  • Quantity Surveying qualification (preferred)

  • Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge

  • Ability to work effectively within a site-based project team

The following experience would be advantageous:

  • Highways infrastructure projects

  • Rail or Network Rail projects

  • Structures and bridge construction

  • Possession planning or rail interface works
