SEN Teaching Assistant (Flexible Daily Supply)

Protocol Education is seeking caring and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day supply basis across specialist SEN schools in Peterlee. This role is perfect for candidates looking for flexibility while gaining valuable experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
• Working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups.
• Encouraging engagement and participation throughout the school day.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assisting teaching staff with classroom activities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
• Are patient, resilient, and enthusiastic.
• Can adapt quickly to different school settings.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS or are willing to apply for one.
