Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:00pm | Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm

We are currently recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student within a welcoming and supportive school in the Peterlee area. This role would suit someone who is patient, nurturing, and able to build strong professional relationships.

The Role

Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
Supporting learning activities both inside and outside of the classroom
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
Assisting with emotional regulation and wellbeing
Working closely with teaching staff and parents
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the wider team

Calm and patient approach
Strong communication skills
Able to build trust with students
Resilient and adaptable
Experience in schools, care, support work, or youth work is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
