Protocol Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Peterlee to recruit enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistants for full-time roles starting in September.
No previous school experience? No problem. We're looking for caring, motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting children and eager to begin a career in education. Whether you've worked in customer service, care, retail, hospitality, sports coaching or childcare, your transferable skills could make you an excellent Teaching Assistant.
You'll receive ongoing support from our experienced consultants and have access to FREE training to help you build the confidence and skills needed to succeed in the classroom.
Role Details
- Full-time
- September start
- Monday-Friday
- Working hours between 8:30am-3:30pm and 8:30am-4:00pm
- Term-time only
- Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent employment
Your responsibilities
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Working alongside experienced class teachers
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Encouraging children's confidence and engagement
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources
- Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Has a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Enjoys working with children
- Is patient, reliable and eager to learn
- Has excellent communication skills
- Can work well as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
