Are you an experienced Nursery Lead, Room Leader or Senior Early Years Practitioner who is looking to take a step back from leadership?

Protocol Education is looking for experienced Early Years professionals to work as EYFS Teaching Assistants and Nursery Practitioners across schools and Early Years settings in Pontefract.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Nursery Lead who wants to step away from management responsibilities and return to a more hands-on role working directly with children.

You could be supporting:

• Nursery and Reception children
• Small groups and individual children
• Learning through play and child-led activities
• Communication, language and early literacy
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)
• Children's independence and confidence
• Indoor and outdoor learning
• Children with SEND and additional needs
• Classroom and nursery routines
• Teachers and Early Years staff with day-to-day activities

You’ll be able to use the wealth of experience you’ve gained throughout your Early Years career, without the pressure of managing a room, leading a team or taking on the full responsibilities of a Nursery Lead.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

• An experienced Nursery Lead, Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner or Early Years Practitioner
• Looking to take a step back from leadership or management
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
• Confident working with children aged 0–5
• Knowledgeable about the EYFS framework
• Experienced in supporting children with SEND
• Caring, patient and nurturing
• Reliable and adaptable
• Looking for greater flexibility and a healthier work-life balance

A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification would be beneficial, although relevant experience will also be considered for suitable roles.
