Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, nurseries and Reception classes across local schools.

You don’t need a formal Early Years qualification to apply. If you have experience working with children, a caring nature and a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop, we want to hear from you!

The Role

As a Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and Early Years staff to support children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities
• Working with children individually and in small groups
• Supporting learning through play-based activities
• Encouraging communication, language and social development
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
• Helping children develop independence and confidence
• Supporting indoor and outdoor learning
• Assisting with routines, lunchtime and general classroom duties
• Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with children
• Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies

About You

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people
• Have a genuine passion for Early Years and child development
• Are caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Are confident interacting with young children
• Can build positive relationships quickly
• Are reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Are comfortable working as part of a wider school team
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding
• Do not necessarily hold a formal Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification

Experience in a nursery, school, childcare, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or care setting would be beneficial.
