We are working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Radstock (BA3) that is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
We're looking for someone who enjoys supporting young learners and understands the importance of helping children develop confidence and a love of learning. Whether you've worked in a school previously or gained experience through childcare, youth work, coaching, mentoring or similar roles, this could be a fantastic opportunity to build your experience within education.
You'll be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working both in the classroom and with small groups. Some children may need additional support with their learning, confidence, behaviour or social development, so we're looking for someone patient, positive and proactive who can make a real difference to their day.
The school has a supportive staff team and a welcoming atmosphere where relationships are valued and every child is encouraged to reach their potential. No two days are the same, but every day provides an opportunity to positively impact a child's educational journey.
Your role may include:
- Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
- Working with small groups on literacy and numeracy interventions
- Providing one-to-one support where needed
