About the Role:
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to manage your own workload while working closely with an experienced Commercial Manager.
You'll be involved across a range of water infrastructure projects, supporting both live works and tender activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently and developing within a growing utilities business.
The key responsibilities for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Prepare and submit monthly payment applications
* Draft and issue Early Warning Notices
* Price, submit and negotiate Compensation Events
* Support tender submissions, including pricing, take-offs and commercial documentation
* Value subcontractor accounts
* Maintain commercial records and project administration
* Attend commercial and site meetings with principal contractors
* Manage your own workload across multiple projects
Experience required for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Previous Quantity Surveying experience within Civil Engineering or Utilities
* Working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
* Good Excel skills with the ability to manage commercial trackers
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Experience within the water sector
* Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
* Experience supporting tender submissions
