About the Role:
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to manage your own workload while working closely with an experienced Commercial Manager.
You'll be involved across a range of water infrastructure projects, supporting both live works and tender activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently and developing within a growing utilities business.
The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Prepare and submit monthly payment applications
* Draft and issue Early Warning Notices
* Price, submit and negotiate Compensation Events
* Support tender submissions, including pricing, take-offs and commercial documentation
* Value subcontractor accounts
* Maintain commercial records and project administration
* Attend commercial and site meetings with principal contractors
* Manage your own workload across multiple projects
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Previous Quantity Surveying experience within Civil Engineering or Utilities
* Working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
* Good Excel skills with the ability to manage commercial trackers
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
* Experience within the water sector
* Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
* Experience supporting tender submissions
