We are currently looking for a confident and experienced HLTA to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Romford.
The successful candidate will be someone who is confident taking responsibility for classes and supporting pupils across different year groups. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive high-quality support and learning opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA who is looking to take the next step in their career and make a real difference within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teaching and learning across different primary year groups, adapting activities to meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Taking responsibility for classes and delivering lessons or planned activities in the absence of the class teacher.
- Working with class teachers to support planning, preparation and assessment.
- Providing targeted support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with SEN where required.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and the wider school team.
- Helping to create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as an HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and confidence supporting different year groups.
- Experience leading lessons, groups or classroom activities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach.
- Someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, is required.
