Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
• Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and effective classroom management.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to promote student achievement.
• Contribute to departmental development and the wider life of the school.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events where appropriate.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting is desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the secondary curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• ECTs are encouraged to apply.
