We are working with secondary schools across Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas who are looking for English Teachers to join their schools on a supply basis. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, regular supply or a longer-term position, we can offer opportunities to suit your experience and availability.
There are opportunities for both short-term cover and longer-term placements, with long-term roles paid in line with the appropriate teaching scale.
The roleDepending on the school and placement, you could be:

• Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Delivering engaging English lessons
• Teaching towards GCSE where required
• Following existing schemes of work and lesson plans
• Planning and preparing lessons for longer-term placements
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students with different abilities and learning needs
• Working as part of an established English department

We are looking for English Teachers who:

• Have QTS or recognised teaching experience
• Have experience teaching English at secondary level
• Have strong subject knowledge
• Are confident teaching Key Stage 3 and GCSE English
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Can build positive relationships with students
• Are reliable, adaptable and professional
• Are looking for either flexible supply or a longer-term opportunity
