Network Support Technician
Teach South Kent is working with a school in Tunbridge Wells to recruit a motivated and reliable Network Support Technician to join a busy and well-established IT team.  This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys working with people as much as technology and wants to play an important role in supporting staff and students through effective and reliable IT services.

The Role
As a Network Support Technician, you will provide first-line IT support across the school environment, helping to ensure that technology is working effectively and supporting both teaching and administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing first-line technical support to staff and students
  • Supporting the maintenance and effective use of IT hardware, software and related equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day IT issues
  • Supporting users with software, hardware and network-related queries
  • Helping to maintain reliable IT systems across the school
  • Working with a wide range of staff and students
  • Contributing to a positive and responsive IT service
  • Supporting the wider IT team with the day-to-day running of the school's technology infrastructure
The role is primarily based in Tunbridge Wells, although you may occasionally be required to work across other connected campuses.

About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about IT and enjoys providing a friendly, helpful and professional service to others.
Ideally, you will have:
  • A Level 2 Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience working in an IT environment
  • Experience working with relevant software, hardware and networks
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently with staff and students at all levels
  • A proactive and flexible approach to your work
  • A genuine interest in using technology to support learning and improve outcomes
You don't need to be someone who sits behind a screen all day — this role involves working with people across the school and being a friendly, approachable point of contact when they need technical support.
