Protocol Education is recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across Primary, Secondary and SEND settings.
The Opportunity
Many of the pupils you'll support have experienced barriers to learning and require positive relationships, consistency and encouragement to succeed.
Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams, you'll help students:
- Develop confidence and self-esteem
- Improve emotional regulation
- Build positive relationships
- Engage with learning
- Achieve personal and academic goals
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis
- Building positive professional relationships
- Delivering behaviour and intervention strategies
- Supporting emotional wellbeing
- Encouraging engagement in lessons

Experience in youth work, coaching, mentoring, residential care, mental health support, support work or education is highly desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
