About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a BIM Coordinator to manage BIM and digital systems across a major infrastructure project.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work closely with CAD and BIM technicians, construction teams, digital functions, client representatives and supply chain engineering teams to ensure information is delivered in accordance with project requirements and agreed programmes.

The role focuses on BIM compliance, information management, digital system implementation and coordination activities to support collaboration, quality, safety and efficient project delivery.

The key responsibilities for this BIM Coordinator role are:

• Manage BIM and digital systems in line with project requirements and agreed programmes.

• Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans and associated tools.

• Establish and manage the Common Data Environment and project information systems.

• Ensure information is delivered in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650 requirements and project information delivery plans.

• Coordinate communication between clients, suppliers and project delivery teams.

• Develop, implement and manage digital applications in accordance with project requirements.

• Train and support staff in the use of BIM processes, digital tools and information systems.

• Lead clash detection and spatial coordination activities.

• Manage issue identification and resolution across project models.

• Support the development of project standards, methods and procedures where required.

• Assess project team capability to deliver compliant information.

• Ensure project teams have access to required information management systems.

• Support the production and maintenance of the Project Information Model.

Experience required for this BIM Coordinator role are:

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.

• Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and its implementation.

• Understanding of infrastructure design and construction processes.

• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD applications and associated standards.

• Working knowledge of Common Data Environments and information management systems.

• Understanding of construction methods and project deliverables.

• Experience managing BIM and digital information processes.

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this BIM Coordinator role are:

• BIM qualification.

• Experience using Revit.

• Experience using Navisworks.

• Experience using Solibri.

• Experience developing project standards, methods and procedures.

• Experience supporting project teams with BIM compliance and information management.
